Black Walnut – S1000

A very interesting live edge black walnut slab featuring a range of colors and incredible figured grain in several spots of the slab.  This tree grew under the strain of several limbs which led to unique grain ripples and color variations.  This slab can be worked to create a unique headboard, coffee table, breakfast bar and more!

About the wood:  Black Walnut is a very desirable hardwood among furniture makers for its dark heartwood/sapwood contrast.  It features a range of dark and red grain with a white sapwood.  Usually easy to work with, black walnut is a staple in live edge furniture design.
