Black Walnut Slab- s1001

A highly figured black walnut slab featuring two bark inclusions.  This slab would work well for a coffee table, headboard or even a epoxy river table.  This slab was milled from a urban tree that grew under stress which resulted in very unique and desirable grain patters and colors.

About the wood: Black Walnut is often prized among woodworkers for its color, grain structure, contrast and rarity.  Often one of the most expensive hardwoods local to Ontario, black walnut is often used for high end furniture.  Easy to sand and finish, black walnut can be used by novices and experts alike.
